Black Lives Matter movement speaks up about the lives of black people and how they're treated unfairly.We often see them as harmful people, but nonetheless, that's how the media displays them. Black Lives Matter fights for the lives of those who were killed and those who are in difficult times today because of their skin color. Breonna Taylor
- Breonna was a 26 year old EMT worker who also happened to be working during the COVID-19 outbreak. Shortly after midnight on March 13, 2020, The LMPD (Louisville Metro Police Department) had entered her apartment on a "no- knock search warrant." Due to the sudden commotion, her boyfriend had grabbed his gun and started firing to the officers which fired back 20 times. Breonna was then shot 8 times. Justice for Breonna is still needed. Our prayers and condolences are with the family and loved one which have been affected, change IS coming.
Ahmaud Arbery
-Ahmaud was a young 25 year old UNARMED black man who went jogging on February 23, 2020. While running, he entered a neighborhood in which two ARMED white men had spot him. Gregory McMichael and his son had followed him around until Ahmaud realized. When confrontation approached Ahmaud, instead of just talking, Gregory and his son took their pistol and shotgun and shot him 3 times.Our prayers and condolences are with the family and loved one which have been affected, change IS coming.
Eric Garner
- Eric Garner was an African-American man who was walking through a neighborhood in Staten Island, New York when two WHITE police men approached him. They accused him of selling cigarettes without a tax stamp. Garner was tired of people accusing him and told them that he isn't. The officers then proceeded to arrest him but one officer put him on a CHOKEHOLD. A technique which is banned from being used in the NYPD.11 times he said "I can't breathe," yet they still continued to go. He went unconscious and 7 minutes later the paramedics came and he was dead. These officers were fired from the NYPD 5 years later but there is nothing else against them.Our prayers and condolences are with the family and loved one which have been affected, change IS coming.
George Floyd
-George was a 46 year old man who was shopping for groceries when he got the police called on him. They accused him of having a bad check. The police officer then put his knee of his neck for 8 minutes and 44 seconds. George also said "I can't breathe" in his final moments while also crying out for his mom.Our prayers and condolences are with the family and loved one which have been affected, change IS coming.
